I have a surgery date! :-)

My insurance was approved in under a week and I am scheduled for surgery on February 1st! I feel such a sense of peace now that the time is actually scheduled and I can plan for it. I appreciate your prayers and support until the day arrives and the same after!

Congratulations, Sue I know exactly how that sense of peace feels. Doesn't it feel great?! It's almost like this big weight (pardon the pun) has been lifted from your shoulders. It really becomes much more real the closer you get to your surgery date. Thanks for your post, and good luck on your new journey! Charity

I am having my surgery at Good Sam. How long have you been waiting? I am hearing such good things from everyone and it is so nice to feel people wrapping you in their prayers for this lifechanging event. Well sue to tell you the truth it hasnt been that long.probly about 5 mos,but I have talked with my nurse practitioner a few times and she told me what it consisted of .And Also I am permanatly disabled in the lower leg and ankle,so I havent had to fight to much.Medicare only covers two type's,I just need to change my life and get the weight off.I cant wait.You are also in my prayers and hope for you to have a fast recovery.I cant beleive how much i lost in just a couple days being on that high proteine 1,200 cal.diet.talk to ya's soon. mikey. ps my life story..being in the dog house hehej/k

Sorry about your disability.......will it make it hard to exercise? That is another big one with me. I love to walk, but it has recently gotten so hard. I watch my grandaughter 4 days a week, so when the weather is bad, we don't walk. I find if I don't, I am grumpy and then I get to a point where it is impossible to make it around the block without something hurting. Won't it be wonderful to walk without carrying the weight of 2 extra people!!??

I agree I think that will help alot.And I also think thats what made my decision quicker.I go see surgeon on thursday.I have butterflies.lol but cant wait.Talk to ya's soon. michael
