THURSDAY ROLL CALL

Hi fellow Oregonians! How have you all been doing? I haven't posted a Roll Call for a few days, and I heard from someone that she missed them, so I'm going to post today. Please feel free to start a roll call if you have some burning questions you want answered! It really is a fun way for us to get to know each other better. Today marks 5 months since I had my second surgery on August 12th. It's been 20 1/2 months since my first surgery. Both saved my life. So far, I have lost about 75 lbs since my first surgery. I am still stalled at a little above the 200 mark. I'm experiencing alot of what is called "head hunger." I need to close that refrigerator and keep it closed! Here are some questions of the day that I "gleaned" from another OH board site. I thought they were good, and I know the person who made them up won't mind my sharing them with you. Have a great day. Here are my answers to the questions of the day. 1. What is the farthest place that you have traveled? Hawaii or New Orleans. My geography is pretty rusty! 2. Who was the last person/people that you went out to dinner with? My DH last night. He's my sweetie! 3. Are you a Chevy, Ford or Dodge person? Ford, although we drive a Pontiac and a GMC. My dad sold Fords for years, but my brother sells the GMC line. You go where you can get a good car at a good price! 4. Have you ever been in a car accident? Yes, but nothing serious. That was when I was 16 and was driving my then-boyfriend's car. He was with me. He married me anyway! Luckily, it wasn't my fault! 5. Optional question....don't answer if you don't want to..... What is the most you have weighed? 282 lbs. What is the least? 8lb 1 oz at birth. However, when I was in my early 20's, I once weighed in at 134 at Weigh****chers. It was a great weight, but it was too light for me. I couldn't maintain it. My current goal weight is 170 lbs. I have about 32 to go! Peg

New to the Site. Barbara H. in Vancouver. 1.Farthest place I have been to was the Cayman Islands. 2. Wedding party with 30 people 3. Any car that starts (don't care) 4. Yes I was in a head-on many years ago. 5. 258/119 in adult life started life at 6 lbs 3 oz. Small baby, wonder what happened there? I think my Mother thought she needed to fatten me up and comfort me with food. Something I have never stopped. Since she died last March at 63 lbs I have been eating for her. Darn starving Children in China that I listened to all of my life.

I have travelled the four corners of the USA (including Hawaii), Northern Canada and Western Canada, and into Mexico. 2. Who was the last person/people that you went out to dinner with? My cousins at New Years. 3. Are you a Chevy, Ford or Dodge person? Of the three, we have had more Chevys (2 Luminas, 2 Venture vans) in recent years. I drive a Lexus. My husband has a Venture. 4. Have you ever been in a car accident? Yes. I was severely injured and had to learn to walk again. 5. Optional question....don't answer if you don't want to..... What is the most you have weighed? 1. What is the farthest place that you have traveled? Bethlehem, Pennsylvia (yeah, I'm FULL of culture!) However, I was there the week before Christmas. It's the most beautiful small town I've ever been to during the holidays! 2. Who was the last person/people that you went out to dinner with? Dinner? Oh, wow. I haven't been to dinner since my "last supper" phase a week before surgery. I went to the Old Country Buffet for my final feast. 3. Are you a Chevy, Ford or Dodge person? Dodge. I just love the new Dodge Charger! Yum 4. Have you ever been in a car accident? Yes, actually I have. I was 17. My boyfriend (Regis), his friend (Paul), and his friends' girlfriend (Wendy) were on our way to a nightclub around 10:30pm on a Saturday night in Paul's '56 Chevy. It was a beater! Anyway, we came around a corner and saw headlights in our lane--going pretty fast. We were hit head-on. I later found out Paul's speed was 40 and the driver of the other car (Helen) was over 75 mph. I don't remember too much immediately after the accident. I remember going to the hospital and having a chest tube put into my right lung because it had collapsed (which I might add is the single most painful thing I've ever experienced). I broke several ribs and had some brain swelling + about 40 misc cuts and bruises (we weren't wearing seatbelts, so the theory is that I must have flew over the back seat and hit my head on the roof or dash). I was in a medically induced coma for a bit until the swelling went down. My boyfriend's friend, Paul, didn't survive the accident, and neither did the other driver, Helen. Her autopsy showed that she was high on cocaine at the time of the accident. They don't know why she was in the wrong lane. 5. Optional question....don't answer if you don't want to..... What is the most you have weighed? What is the least? The most I have ever weighed was 306 pounds in 1996 just after the birth of my son, Corey.
