Hello

Hi, I am new to this site...I love it! I am having RNY surgery at OHSU on 1/24. I met with Dr O'Rourke on Monday for all the final questions and had all the EKG and lab test. So I guess that I am ready to go. I have been researching this surgery for about 5 years and finally have insurance that will cover it (United Healthcare) I excited and starting to get nervous about the recovery and what it will be like. I have been reading everything that I can get my hands on and this site has been a wonderful resource. I am 38 years old 5'9 and an all time weight of 298. I have diabetes, Lipid disorder, high blood pressure. I am a stay at home Mom of 2 wonderful girls 10 & 2 (both adopted) I also had infertility issues and had to have a hysterectomy at 32. I look forward to getting to know all of you. Carrie
