**Thursday's Roll Call**

Good morning to all! 1. Hubby and I will be going to a Christmas Eve church special and then back to church Christmas morning. Then we are having a Christmas dinner potluck at the lodge here where we live, which is a private membership RV park on the Washington Coast. 2. Diane, which is what I go by. First name is Babara 3. Exercise, loss weight and enjoy my new life to the fullest.

I was driving out in the rain - it was coming down! I keep saying I'm done then have "one more thing". Ughhh! 1. We celebrate Christmas. It will be just us (my husband and kids) at our house Christmas morning. We go to our Mexican friends house for Christmas eve, which of course will be tamalles (sp?). I love being in their kitchen earlier in the day with all of the women working together to make them. 2. Joan (my daughter's middle name is Louise) 3. Put order to ten years worth of photos. I've been meaning to do that one since my daughter entered first grade (she's in sixth). Patty

Enjoy the tamales and especially the camaraderie in preparing the dishes on Christmas. Good luck with the photos. I have scads of them that my sister and I inherited from our folks. Yikes! Hugs, Peg

We celebrate Christmas and I am having the party at my home in Beaverton. My daughter is coming from Eugene and my son lives here with me. They are both 20 and 21 so they are grown.. Kinda. Do kids ever grow up. My daughter went with me to Mexico to get banded and was worse then I was (as far as being scared) go figure.. she was there to hold my hand.. Oh well this will be my first christmas with all the candy and such and being banded so I hope to come away with a weight loss. I have a full fill so I should stick pretty well to not alot of candy. Thanks for having an oregon group. I was beginning to think no one in oregon did this. Jan Excersise.. I don't do a whole lot.. I have asthma and I hate the cold so walking is out right now.

Wow, Jan! Sounds like we are neighbors. I live in Beaverton too! Have a good Christmas. I really don't know much about being banded. I had an open RNY. So how do they band you? Hugs, Peg

The Band is placed around the top of your stomach. I call it the small squash part.. (the neck per say) anyway they place a band around that and then fill it with saline. The more they fill the smaller the hole for food to go down. It has to be filled. This varies from person to person. some need many more then others. I have been banded 3 months and had 1 fill. I have spoken with people who are 6 momths out and no fills and others who are 12 weeks and 3 fills. So this depends greatly on you and your doctor. I had this because it is less malabsorbtion and I am iron deficiant already. The malabsorbtion scared me and my local doctor. Well my insurance would not cover the band and wanted to argue the Y. So I just went to Mexico and had it done. I am finding that followup is a pain in the rear though. The consultants down there answer their email really well when they are trying to get you to come down. But aftercare sucks... I have asked many questions and get no replies to my questions. So as much as I like it. I am feeling quite alone up here. I hope your Y is working well.. My GF is looking into having that done here by Emma Patterson... I am sure she will do well... Good Afternoon everone. 1.Christmas eve is when my side of the family get together. This year it will be my house. My Mom and Dad, Grandma, 3 sister's, 1 brother, their children and grand children all together about 30 of us. We will eat potluck and then just about all of my family except for myself are musical so they will bring their instrument's and we will sing christmas song's ending with Happy Birthday to Jesus. Eat some more. Then each family buys a $25 family gift we will pick numbers then one by one pick a present from under the tree. We don't put names because everyone would choose my mom's gift. In the end we all end up trading til satisfied. Some go home and some stay to play games until we can't keep our eyes open. CHRISTMAS Day will be spent with our children opening presents and enjoying left overs and hot cocoa ,oh and a family movie. 2. Rayell 3. As always To draw closer to the Lord and to be a better Mother and wife. P.S. All of my husbands family live in New York so we don't get to see them.
