Oh MY! I'm Naked!!!

Well...not quite, but close! Today, I went through my closet to see what I might have outgrown. Hmmm.... my closet actually echoes now!! It's almost empty! I have a heap of clothes, too big for me, and a small heap that will last for a short while before becoming too big! I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I checked the clothing exchange for size 14s, but there's only one entry and she hasn't returned my email. Good Will, here I come! I'm so happy that I have grown smaller, but there are a few pieces of clothing that I will mourn. If anyone wants to trade my 2X, 1X clothes for some 14s, I'm ready to trade, but I'm not sure how it would be done without seeing the clothes. Who'd a thunk I would have this kind of problem, finding clothes small enough for me! Life is good! HUGS! Joy

I can relate to mourning over some of those clothing items. I have two beautiful thigh-length blazers that I bought two years ago that I love to wear during those crisp spring days. I purchased them at Nordstrom, so they're built to last. However, they're a 3X and in a few more months won't fit me at all. The good news is that I can get them altered for just under $15.00 for both! (If I had saved my receipt, Nordstrom will alter them for free! WOW!) Good luck, Joy, on your trade. That might be an idea for a koffee klatch! I don't have many 14's (if any) and I'm very tall. But, I still wear XL tops due to huge boobs. I wear 12 pants and I do have a few of those that are too short (I got kind of crazy buying 12's, I forgot about length!) I have at least one pair of dark green pants that the hemming (tried a false hem, but it didn't work out) went wrong, so a shorter person could hem them and have a nice pair of slacks. Anyway, maybe we should get a room at a restaurant (you know, a back meeting room somewhere) and share our cast offs and purchases/tailoring gone wrong clothes. Hi Tee! I hope w can get together after the holidays and I can finally meet you! Another OH friend turned me on to a consignment shop, so I am taking some of my clothes there today. Yes!
