There's no place like home

I'm home! yea. we come home right after my post-op on Tues. but have been settling in. It saw good staying in our RV to be close to the hospital, just incase there were problems. Living 3 hours aways is just alittle to far. But there is nothing that feels as good as being home. I am now 2 weeks and 2 days out and doing fine. I did pull something in my tummy last night. OUCH! kind of burning tear, so I am moving slowly today.

I hope you're on a liquid protein diet We were told to do that for the 1st 4 weeks and not eat anything too solid to give the incisions a chance to heal. And you shouldn't be able to eat very much if you had a RNY. Even after 4 months if I eat too much it starts to back up in my esophegus and you get a feeling that you may have to yack. I haven't ever had to but it gives you that queasy feeling. And remember to eat slow. that way the pouch doesn't fill up so fast. Jer

Welcome home! Glad to hear you're doing fine. I'm almost two weeks out, and there are times when I turn the wrong way (or turn too far) and I get a small burning feeling inside. Be sure to take it easy, and don't do too much too soon. Take care, Diane! Charity
