Who Finances in Oregon?

I have Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield-PEBB, so there's no way I will get approval for any bariatric treatement or surgery. Does anyone know of a company that will finance for either lap band or RNY here in Oregon? I'm specifically looking for someone who will do it if you do not own your own home (I don't) and do not have good credit (I don't). Thanks in advance-- Teri in Springfield

Teri - I have PEBB also. You are close enough to Salem, couldn't you get Kaiser on open enrollment? If so, you can get the surgery paid for through them. Yes, it's unfair and yes, I keep saying I'm going to sue but never get around to doing what I need to do. Anyway, I don't know who will finance this. I went to Mexico - pulled equity out of a house sale and caught a plane to San Diego and had a driver take me to Ensenada to see Dr. Aguirre (the best around). Best $10-11k I ever spent! Dina

Interesting. I have Blue Cross for federal employees and they DO cover it. You are also better able to get an inclusion if you have other medical problems also, like sleep apnea, diabetes, knee problems, high blood pressure, or others. If you can get a job with the Postal Service with benefits, then you can get the federal Blue Cross and be covered.
