OH MY GAWD!!!!
OMGAWD! I just received a call from the Kaiser Bariatric Dept. They are so happy with my progress that they found a cancellation and booked me for surgery this MONDAY!!!! YIKES!!! I am flying right now and will need to calm down in order to get all the prep work done!
I don't have an official Angel, but each of you have been my angels during this journey. Now the roller coaster ride begins! Thank you, everyone, for your support, your knowledge and your prayers!!!
More later, but I need a moment to breathe!! LOL
Oregon, here I come!!!
Joy
Dayna!
Thanks for replying. Yes, we are scurrying about, trying to get the house ready for the market. I'm doing everything I can now, so that when I come home from the hospital I will just have to sip and walk!
I heard that the weather was beautiful in Oregon today. Enjoy!
Can't wait to be an Oregonian!!

That's great news Joy! I think that is a good way for it to happen - all of the sudden it's showtime! I considered the waiting very trying, and healthwise it was the worst I had ever felt. Like when I was pregnant, I felt like I had to get EVERYTHING done before hand. You are really having to get organized with your move coming up too.
We will be thinking of you on Monday. See ya soon when you get to Oregon you loser!

Congradulations, Joy. Can't believe how fast you glided thru Kaiser's maze. Are you having lap or open RNY? I'm sure this week will just fly by for you - it helped me to keep busy up until the last moment. I got home a few days ago after one week in the hospital. I had extra inflammation and swelling that caused quite a bit of pain. After 5 days, they gave me Toradol (an anti-inflammatory) which turned me around. I guess the med can cause bleeding problems after this surgery, but it was what made the difference.
Thinking good thoughts for you as your day approaches,
Anne
