Brandi's Surgery

Hi! I'm Lori, Brandi's Angel. Brandi had her surgery this morning. Everything went great! She actually didn't get seen until 2 hrs after her appointment time, and was in recovery for about 2.5 hours. Dr. Patterson said she did wonderful. Of course, she is in alot of pain. She was having alot of back pain before she went in, and that compounded things (being prone for so many hours without moving). They had her on a morphine drip and that wasn't even touching it, so they changed her pain medication.... I stayed about 3 hours and by the time I left, she was zonked! The nurse said she will be there until at least Friday. I am going to see her after I get off work tomorrow, and I will post and update then. On a personal note, thanks to Brandi and this website, I discovered that my insurance covers this procedure. I know I qualify and I am definitely going to look into it. I've learned so much from Brandi and from all of you who have been posting here. For now, keep her in your thoughts and prayers!
