HAPPY DAY - BCBS has started to pay for the surgery!!

Today I learned that BCBS has started to pay for the WLS. I haven't received the paperwork yet - but this is such good news.

Now for the weight to come off. My scale reflects that I have lost 25 pounds so far. 251/225/135 Also I fit into a pair of pants I couldn't fit into for a year. Yeah!!!

Lara! This is such good news! I am so happy for you on your weight loss. Good to know they will cover the surgery, now I know what to expect with mine.

Hi Lara Can you tell me which type of BCBS you have. I also have R BCBS of Oregon and I am just curious if its the same? Thanks

She has Federal BCBS - much different from Regence. I have Regence through the state of Oregon and they *never* pay.

I am covered under the Federal program which covers the surgery only. No dietician, etc. Lara
