I wanted to thank everyone that posted their personal experiences a few days ago about having lap gallbladder removal. I was to see a surgeon tomorrow and have my gall bladder out within another week. After a Trip to the ER on Friday, then a return trip again Saturday, the hospital finally admitted me and did an emergency surgery yesterday at 2:30pm. I just got home about an hour ago and I feel so much better! Oh MY the gas pains in the shoulder hurt! As soon as I came out of the recovery room, I asked the nurse when I could start walking the halls... she was shocked! I walked the huge loop around the surgery floor at least 25 times... wanted to take the extra steps as a precaution so that I wouldn't have a blood clot. Anyways, just wanted to update you. I'm home and feeling SOOOO MUCH BETTER! Love and hugs to all

HI.. this sounds silly...but what really helps those shoulder pains is to put one of those mentholated back adhesive pain patches on it....smells kinda strong..but does help BIG time with the pain..and you aren't taking additional meds -- always a good thing if possible! hugs. gail

WOW! Glad you feel better though, that must have been scary, where you on meds to prevent the gallstones? Whats with the shoulder pain? Is that a symptom? weird! Brandi

Just wanted to update, it has been 5 days since my surgery. I feel like a new person. Thank goodness the shoulder pains from the gas have come and gone.. whew, they really hurt. I did a lot of walking which helped too. By the time I had surgery, my bladder was in pretty bad shape. The surgeon had said that I had to have been suffering with it for quite some time... thinking back, it had been a Long Time. It happened so fast, that I was unable to take any medication to disolve the stones... before I knew it, I was in such severe pain and in the ER.. then had surgery. Have a wonderful Friday! Hugs!
