Hope for surgery soon!

I have been thru all the test and my file has been sent to the surgeon. I feel fortunate as I work for Legacy and our insurance is pretty good at getting the authorizations taken care of as quickly as possible. I see the Surgeon on April 6th and hope to have the surgery within the next 2-3 weeks. I have moved past being scared and now am so excited I just can't wait to have it done to move onto a new chapter in my life. It is so encouraging to have all of this information from so many of you who have been thru this already. I had origionally gone into this with the intention of having Dr Patterson for my surgeon, due to time constrants in my job I have changed to Dr Hong. I have heard many good things about him from co-workers and also from this website which really puts my mind at ease. From the time you see the Surgeon how long does it usually take to schedule the sugery?

Hello Linda, I met with Dr. Hong on Wednesday the 30th. He was nice but he said that it would take a couple of weeks to get the approval from the insurance company then they would call me back in and we would set the date from that point. He will ask that you loose 10 to 12 lbs while you are waiting for approval. He was nice but in a hurry. Good luck! Dawn
