Heather: Have you talked to your doctor about your vitamin needs. I don't know what kind of surgery you had, but I have to have at least 60 grams of protein a day. I take one multiple vitamin, B12, and iron in addition to the protein. Also, I would be very upset with your masseuse. If that person is a massage therapist and discussing you with your mother, that is breaking a confidentiality thing. Maybe that person has decided you're anorexic and is trying to help, but she/he she talk to you and not your mother. Anyway, talk to your doctor and get onto the correct regimen because I was told not taking the proper vitamins and getting enough protein could definitely lead to problems down the road. Good luck. Hi Pam actually Im taking my vitamins everyday ,60 grams of protien, extra B and extra calcium and now flax oil and zip fiz. I guess thats why Im so frustrated. Im trying todo everything by the book . As for my doctor hes looked over my intake but hasent given my other suggestions Ill see him again Monday. Oh the Masseuse is a family friend she did ask me and told me her concerns of my health It would be a problem if It was a person we dident know personally she is just concerned. Thanks Ill get some answers Monday if not go to another person who works with vitamins to figure out the potassium stuff.Mabe a combination of things is depleating the potassium Ive heard somthing about taking some vitamins together? Hi Heather, I have found that I had to do some research on my own about vitamins and suppliments and that sort of thing, it seems like a lot of doctors just tell you to take a multi, calcium and b12 and call it good, unless something shows up really out of wack and then you have to scramble to get your levels of whatever back up. A good place that I got a lot of helpful info was at vitalady.com...there is a Q and A section on the website. A lot of WLS folks go there as the founder is a WLS person and if you email them with specific questions about vitamin needs, or even a copy of your lab work they are more then happy to help you out (whether you decide to purchase from them or not). Just an idea, good luck to you! Shanna

Don't know the resources, but I love the liquid vitamins at Costco - they are great and my numbers are fine except for my iron...which I am bad at remembering to take. For extra potassium, the V8 low sodium or the V8 ACE has a LOT of potassium in them. Great way to get it in. Dina
