HELP!!!!! Need Info on PS MD's in Oregon

I need to get info on PS here in Oregon, from those who have had it paid for by insurance. I have started to contact doctors and several have given me the run around "insurance won't pay BLAH BLAH BLAH.... " Yet my insurance says it will if it's medically mess. due to rashes. I want someone who is willing to pursue the insurance coverage

There is no doctor in Eugene that performs any bariatric surgery. Dr Flanagan retired last October. Contact the OSHU in portland make arrangements to attend their seminar (only once for the basic information) and they will tell you whether or not pacific source will pay for the surgery. I have heard that as of 2005 they will not, but OSHU should be able to tell you more. If they won't can you pick a different insurance company where you work. My employer offers 3 plans anually and only the Aetna plan will pay for this surgery. I know cause I had the surgery last August. Maryanne

PS isn't Pacific Source, It's the common abrev. here at OH for Plastic Surgery. If you had looked at my profile you would have seen I'm 9 months post-op, at goal and ready to pursue PS. My insurance is Aetna and yes they paid for my surgery and will my PS.
