Question for post-ops

I have recently had a mild case of acute pancreatits. I had my lap rny in January of 2003 and have had no complications whatsoever. I say a mild case because the my amalyse level which determines pancreatits was not extremely elevated and the condition resolved itself within 12 hours. My question is are post ops of wls more prone to this or has anyone experienced it themselves as a post op? My doctors think it may have been some insulin they started me on. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I'm not near as far out as you but I haven't had any problems with this yet. I do know of some folks who have had this problem though. I can't say for sure but it seems our surgeries can make us prone to this. Dina
