I think my hairloss is ending!!!
I started losing it around 2 months out and I'm almost 6 months now and am just now getting to the point where I'm not pulling out thick tangles of hair anymore! Woohoo! For the past 2 days I have not had any noticable hair in the drain, either, so I am hopeful this is the end, finally! I have lots of new growth that looks so funny with my hair that is all one length. I'm still uncertain if I will cut it all off or not though. I want to try to keep it long....we'll see!!!
Dina
hey dina,
I didn't start loosing mass amounts of hair until I was probably 4 months out and it didn't stop until I was around 9 months.. I had REALLY thick hair as well as long.. now it's just long.. I probably lost 1/2 my hair.. thank god I had that much to loose so it was never noticable to anyone else.. (except those who live with me and were finding my hair EVERYWHERE )
after the first few months of new growth it blends into the long hair very well.. just those silly stubbles in the begining that were annoying..
hang in there.. don't cut it for that reason alone.. cut it if you must but do it for a "new you" look!!

Dina,
Your new picture is BEAUTIFUL!! I was looking at it a few days back, and thought to myself how great your hair looked, figured your hair loss that had started must not have amounted to much. You have a good head of hair to start with. I have been really scared the day would come for me...it may still yet. I've made it to five months without that morning I hear about, where all of the sudden it is a clump in your hand, or lots of strands going down the drain. I have very fine, not a lot of volume head of hair. I have fretted plenty about the prospect.
Glad to hear yours is ending. I am so happy you are down 80 (exhale that one pound).

Thanks so much Patty! I think the thing is that my hair looks fuller when I let it go curly, but it really is very thin there. Even my normally non-observant husband commented on it yesterday when he was pulling it off my neck. I think I'll go for awhile and see if I can get it to even out. If I can't, then I'll be back to cutting it.
