PRE-SURGERY WEIGHT LOSS

Has anyone been required to loose a certain amount of weight before surgery and not met that goal and still was able to have surgery? I am having surgery Oct. 20th and have 15 pounds to loose, which I am sure I can do.....but am a little scared if I don't Dr. Patterson will not operate on me.????????? Thanks! Trisha

actually I think that it is silly to have to lose weight before the surgery.. if we could do it that easy we would have.. but my Doctor is not having me do that. though I have lost a few pounds.. about 15 to be percise.. which is not a bad thing..
