I miss Oregon so much...
Hi elaine,
wow, I can sympathize with ya big time..
I grew up in vancouver wa.. I moved away about 8 yrs ago. first to louisiana (x husband was a comerical oil field diver in the gulf) then on to florida for the remainder.. I was STUCK in florida. I hated the heat, I hated the huricanes and believe or not I got SICK of the freaken sunshine.. LOL..
it's funny but seriously when a rare cool over cast day with a slight bit of mist would happen I was on cloud 9 all giddy and happy..
(the opposite of people in the northwest with light deprevation) I missed the seasons changing.. the smells everything..
I came "HOME" last year on july 4th..
but aside from family (who is stuck with me) my friends had either moved away or moved on and simply didn't have time for me. I had to start all over with making friends.. (thank god for this board)
so join in with us, get to know us.. (some of us *me* are kinda crazy) then move your butt on home..

You'll be on the road to recovery (and Oregon!) soon, Elaine. And then, just think how good you're going to feel! Sometimes I think we have to go through those hard times so we appreciate the good times more. My sis had both hips replaced and she is a new woman! She is so much happier and more active than she was before. I have arthritis in both knees and so I look forward to my surgery (November 10th--78 days!) to help with that.
Keep your chin up and think positive thoughts.
