My surgery
Renee,
I was in the hospital for 2 days before my surgery, too - but that was in Spain, and it's a lot less hospital-like feeling - I was able to go out and about town, that sort of thing. But honestly, it was kind of nice being in the Clinica ebb and flow of things, you know?
You'll do great. I hear Dr. Deveney is a great guy. I've only ever talked to him on the phone - and he was gracious and willing to chat for some time.
And I probably don't have to tell you this - but you're going to LOVE being a DS post-op. It's so fun. I have never had so much fun in my life.
Take good care - and you'll be in my thoughts and prayers!
Blessings,
dina
Holy cow Renee - your time is fast approaching! I am so happy for you!!! I can't believe you have to be in the hospital so far in advance, but since you will be, take plenty to read, lots of videos and if you have a laptop, take that too!!!
Do you have an angel or someone to check on you? I would be willing to do that if you don't have someone. Just email me - let me know if so.
Dina

2 days will suck for sure.. take lots of things to read.. hope you get a private room.. especially for those 2 days!!

Can you believe how quickly time flies? Next week, you'll be a loser! I'm so very happy for you and wish you the absolute best of luck.
You're going to be up at OHSU, right? I don't live too far, so I'll set myself a reminder to stop in and visit if you'd like a bit of company....but I'll wait until the 1st, okay......when you're coherent again! The first day, you'll be pretty out of it.
Take care,
Michele
