White water rafting on the Deschutes!
Anybody game? I just got back from a guided trip and it was soo much fun, and ALOT easier than I thought it would be ( I was really worried about my weight). It is about 75-80 pp including the guide, and hot lunch. It is a full day trip leaving from Maupin. They do all the work and we just have fun. I will put it all together (and you pay there) if I can get some idea of who would even be interested. They have a website if ya wanna check it out... www.riverdrifters.net Each raft is an 8 man raft. If we get a smaller group, thats fine too, or larger (we just get an extra guide). I figured it would be a Saturday or Sunday trip sometime in lat Aug, early Sept. So anybody wanna go???????? We could even camp ahead of time or just meet there!

Hey brandi,
OMG that sounds/looks so fun.. if I wasn't so tied down and so broke I swear I would go do this with ya.. maybe next summer.. although do they take special care of the whimps like me???? I force myself to do things all the while fighting off panic attacks. (snorkling in hawaii -hunama bay- about killed me with a panic attack but I fought it off and did it anyway and was so greatful that I did cuz it was freaken amazing!!)
I hope you find some people on here who are intrested in going so you guys can come back and show pic's and tell us all about it.. let me live vicarisiously (sp) through you!!!!!

Brandi,
As a devoted Deschutes Flyfisherman, I've sworn to never become a part of the dreaded "Rubber Hatch" lol! It's my own fault for choosing Sandy Beach Hole as my favorite fishing spot!
I do love rafting though and have had some great trips on the Clackamas, Sandy and the Met.
Have Fun!
