Pre-op Meeting with my surgeon!

My surgeon's office called today and said they had received all the "hoop jumpin" materials (my words not theirs) and they wanted to schedule my pre-op meeting with my surgeon. Anyway, they asked me if I wanted Dr. Hong or Dr. Patterson--I said I really didn't care and they said well Dr. Patterson is scheduling for July 15 and, now wait a minute, Dr. Hong has an opening this Wednesday at 12:15!!! Guess which one I took? Phew boy, this is going to go fast now! Anyway, I wanted to share with my favorite support group! You guys are great and I guess I need to know if there are any burning questions I need to ask Dr. H. Looking forward to hearing from you. Pam

wow pam, congrats to you!! are you going to the support group meetings at vanc. clinic? or I should say "will you"? that was where I started going when I moved back from florida.. I should drop in and say hi to everyone.. havn't been there since november.. bad me! they didn't have one in dec.. and then jan. I moved to oregon and just havn't been back to that meeting.. let us know how it goes and when you get a date.. whoo hooo Theresa

I was originally going with Dr. Patterson, but changed to Dr. Hong for the same reason you chose him! I met with him for the first time last Wed. (6-16). I liked him, and his new fellow. I can't remember her name, but she (the fellow) spent quite a bit of time with me. They answered all my questions, asked me a few, and now I'm waiting to hear from insurance. I think you'll like Dr. Hong. He seems to really know what he's doing and he has a good disposition. Good luck with the appointment!

Congrats on moving forward towards a surgery date. I had my surgery with Dr. Hong, and had a really good experience. I like and respect him so much. Good luck to you!
