Wow! Thank you soo much, I would love to look into that as a plan B. I am told my UHC policy will cover WLS, but I want to have a back up plan, I have worked too hard for too long just to get coverage, I don't want that to fall apart before I can even start pre-op testing. Do they have a website? Brandi Gilliland

Hi Brandi: The insurance is actually called Medical Savings Association there email is www.medical savings association.com the company i went with is in utah. The rep told me the reason for such a cheap monthly rate is because i dont have any on going problems such as smoker, heart trouble diabetes etc. They quote a person on an individual basis. I was right up front and told him i wanted an insurance that would pay for wls. He told me to hold on a moment, while waiting i knew what the answer would be a big notta!!!! But instead I got Big yepa yes yes yes we cover wls. I said is this some kind of scam!!!!! He said no. At 99.95 per month with an enrollment fee of 150.00 total cost 249.95 to be on policy, and 99.95 per month, I can handle this! He also stated, that the insurance would rather cover wls so in the long run the obese person doenst rack up insurance costs all there life from all the side effects of morbid obesity. And last but not least this surgury must be MEDICALLY NECESSARY by a physician AMEN to that, thats 100% better than sorry thats medically EXcluded, in my book everyone who is morbidly obese is a straight up 911 we need medical att. just like any other disease right away now. so you have a great nite hope this helps. one of the phone #'s is 435-752-7016 receptionist i believe. Always marla c.

That is soo awesome!! I am thrilled for you (and for me if my current insurance denies me) WOW! Did they ask your weight? I know that when I applied for Kaiser individual coverage I was denied because "my weight exceeded their guidelines" UGH! Brandi

Hey Brandi, I have UHC and my letter for approval is getting submitted this week! I'll let you know how it goes! From everything I've seen/heard....you won't be needing the back up plan!
