Exercise (Micheeeellllleeee!!)
The Springwater Corridor Trails would probably be central. I don't know how far it really goes, but I ridden my bike along the Willamette from the Burnside Bridge to the Sellwood. I believe it also goes into Johnson Creek area and even out to the Foster area.
There are trail in Beaverton as well....one is very close to Marcie and I, and it goes through several other parts of Beaverton.
We just may have to do a little research to see what els is out there!
There's also trails in Forest Park and around OHSU.

They say if you can't carry on a normal conversation you're workin' it too hard. That's my guage.
My ex and current SO both have commented that I walk too slow....so I know how hard it is. I used to think because my ex was 6'4'' that he just had a bigger stride...he did but my SO isn't much taller than me and he can walk circles around me, so I have to admit it's the weight for the most part. You want to keep up, and work hard at it.....just to catch up with them and they think they're just "strollin' along". Last year on vacation, I finally quit trying to keep up, I just 'em wait for me if they want to. Of course, I always carry the key to the living quarters and carry the cash if we're planning on stopping for a popsiscle...so they HAVE to wait for me. Clever, eh? I may be a ditsy blonde...but I'm not a dumb one!
For myself, I would never leave someone behind or push too hard because I've usually been on that end of it...and it's not any fun!

How is the band working out for you? Mine is doing well, down 27 lbs as of day 33. Will weigh in tomorrow for this last week. Been lots of family graduation parties this last week so I am hoping I don't have the dreaded gain for once. Still contemplating who I want to do my fills. Have you decided? I would seriously like to be included in occassional events that you all plan. I don't live in Portland but if you had a group get together on a weekend or did a weekend trip I would love to come and meet all of you. I sure wish I could find some Eugene/springfield WLS people to hang with. Let me know if there are any out there! I need an excercise partner too. I do water aerobics 2X a week but definitely need to start thinking of something else. Best wishes to all, Teresa

My band is working great! I am on solid foods now and everything is going down well. I have even managed to stop drinking with meals (Out of fear, I was breaking the number one bandster rule--bad idea, I know, but I was so scared of PBing!!) I still haven't tried steak yet, but chicken, bread, pasta, everything seems to be going down okay!
Anyway, I am down about -18 pounds and am hoping that the pounds will start coming off again now that I am on solids and have started exercising. I'm going to try to swim 3-4 times per week and as you can see, I'm trying to round up some people to walk with me. (Can you believe I put on FIVE pounds during my period??? Craziness, I tell you!!)
Maybe one of these weeks, we can make the Portland get-together on a weekend and then you and some other Oregonians outside of Portland can join the group. (This will be my first week.)
