questions about Dr Deveney what he needs

I was wondering if anyone that has had Dr Deveney could tell me what he requires before surgery.. I have my orientation date.. but want to get some of the things out of the way first.......can anyone help

Hello...I just had surgery with Dr. Deveny on the 23rd (5 days ago) and I feel AWESOME!!! As far as pre-surgery...what requirements, I'm not sure what you are asking....Do you mean tests, or pre-op diet?? You can E-Mail me and I will answer what I can. Dr.Deveny is a great surgeon with over 400 surgeries and no fatalaties, actually none of the bariatric surgeons have experienced any fatalaties...that's great news!! ((Hugs))~*Lauryn*~

Lauryn, I'm so happy to hear good things are happening for you! Also, about Dr. D as he is probably going to be my surgeon. Dr. O'Rourke did the orientation so I didnt' meet Dr. D. I just had my orientation on Monday. He requires a physical, bloodwork, health/diet history and a letter of support from your PCP. You also need a psychological evaluation from the Dr. of your choice, you just need to let them know what it's for. Then you'll get your evaluation appointment with one of the nurses at OHSU. Mine's a month from now! At that time, they will go over all the information you've gathered and determine if you'll need an EKG or sleep study, etc. If you need any further info, just email me.
