Hi Everyone!! I am about 2 1/2 months post op and I am doing great!! Down 65 since surgery, so I am ahead of schedule. My question is.. I am getting a little bored with my food choices. I have NO problem with sugar, pasta, or fat. My problem is getting protein. I can not do more shakes. I think about them and my stomach shakes. !! Any suggestions would be great!! Thanks and best wishes to all!! 445/353

Sarah - I just posted this on a couple other boards. I will try to come up with more to share later, but for now I'll just copy this one. It is delicious! Dina Okay, this is something I used to eat on Atkins which is just divine, but I've adapted it to be low-fat and higher protein. It is very simple. 2 oz. fat free Philly cream cheese, stirred smooth 1 egg, beaten into the cream cheese 2 or 3 packets of Splenda dash of vanilla dash of cinnamon Mix all ingredients smooth in a custard cup. Put in microwave on high for 90 seconds. It will come out with a little moistness from the cream cheese. This is called a mock cheese danish but it is more like a custardy cheesecakey type thing. Now if you want to have full fat cream cheese that is fine, but it just adds calories. I like the FF Philly but I did feel it could have benefitted from maybe 1/2 oz of the real thing. This is the breakdown of nutrition: Total calories: 145 Fat: 5 grams Protein: 16 Carbs: 5 This is an easy way to get some protein in as it tastes good and goes down easy. This could definitely qualify for the soft food phase as well. Dina

Another great recipe idea! Being a cheesecake fanatic, it's definitely something I'll have to try. You're such a Suzie....make that Dina-homemaker! Thanks for the info! Michele
