OHSU Bariatric Patient Support Group

We would like to remind you of this upcoming event. OHSU Bariatric Patient Support Group Date: Wednesday, April 28, 2004 Time: 7:30PM - 9:00PM PDT (GMT-07:00) Bariatric Patient Support group. Meetings will be held on the OHSU campus, in the Child Development and Rehabilitation Center (CDRC) Room 3200 @ 7:30 PM on the 4th Wednesday of the Month, meeting once a month. EXCEPTION: November and December meetings will be on the third Wednesday due to holiday schedules. All current or prospective Bariatric patients and their support people, spouses, etc. are welcome.

Hi Dina- Are you planning to attend the April 28th meeting? Can you describe the evening agenda? You sent my husband and I a very thoughtful email in regards to my denial. Working with insurance approval is a very stressful undertaking. Thank you so much for your support! Karen Henkemeyer

Hi Karen, No - I'm sorry, I'm not able to be there this month. I've actually got a case of - well, I think the only way to sort of accurately describe it is - laryngitis. It's not actually laryngitis - but an allergic reaction that has swollen my vocal cords up pretty significantly. It's pretty painful - and I'm really not supposed to talk. So - home I'll be. Did you know about the Beaverton Support Group? It meets next on May 12th at 7:00 p.m. at the Beaverton Resource Center (corners of Hall and Allen Blvds). That's a really cool group, too. There's a better chance that I'll be at that one. Then, I also lead a support group for people who are interested in going to my surgeon (Dr. Baltasar) in Spain, who are post-ops, or support people. The next meeting for that group is Saturday, May 8th at 10:30 a.m. at Cedar Mill Bible Church (www.cmbc.org). I'm so sorry you're going through such frustration with all of this. Keep fighting, friend! And please let me know if I can be of any help, okay? I'm happy to talk by phone, or even meet for coffee or lunch somewhere, okay?
