You know - like: "When I was 185 I moved to the coast. When I was 225 I was working for a doctor. When I was 240 I met my DH. When I was 245 we got engaged. When I was 260 we got married. When I quit smoking I was 285." I'm looking at these times in my life when I was so unhappy with myself and my weight and was constantly losing and gaining and going upwards, that I'm looking forward to hitting these numbers on the way down. I can't wait until I get to see what I feel like from the opposite perspective....of coming down to it. Do any of you feel this way? Dina

I have goals that I want to hit so bad.. like the first time I get under 300 lbs.. I think I will hold a party.. I may have a heart attack when I get under 200..I wish Iwas on on the other side going down.. I would be very happy to be there..

Dina: Funny you mention this. I can't recall what year I did things in my life, but I sure remember what weight I was at! I'm down 46 pounds now, and realized that if I lost another 32 pounds I'd be at my wedding weight of 210. My next goal is to be at 177, because that would put me one pound lighter than I was at my all-time adult low of 178 following a year on Optifast (at age 30, which was 15 years ago). After that, I'm in uncharted territory and have no preconceived notions. Until I hit 155, which was what I weighed in December of the year I turned 15, memorialized forever by a conversation I had with 2 other friends about how fat we were! Weird that we do that, isn't it? And Dina, congrats on shrinking past 300. I'm amazed every day at how well this surgery works. -Lesa (1/21/04 Mexico)

Ohhhh....Dina, Dina, Dina, Dina! I think we should be pals. I totally have weight memories!! I am down about 50lbs now and I have been marking my goals by weight memories! For example: I started at 301, and I had this big hang up with Weigh****chers (the whole 2 years I was doing WW I was HUNGRY!!)...I couldn't get past 280 no matter what I did. So....when I got down near 280 I was sort of holding my breath and half thought I wouldn't ever get below that. My next goal was 275, the weight I was when I got married. Now my goal is to get below 250 (I am right at 251 now), the weight I was when I went back to college. After than....I'm on to 235...the weight I was when I moved to Oregon. and so on....and so on....and so on...... In the mean time....my husband in trying to gain weight...so we are both keeping a vigil over the scale. This time, though, IT"S FUN!!!!!!!! Later girl -Mary P

Oh yeah! I remember lots of those..... 204 in high school and then dropping down to 169 when I got into college and thinking I was hot! 177 when I met my ex (I'd just lost 40 lbs and felt so good!), 241 when my first daughter was born, 403...my all-time high when I turned 40...OMG! I couldn't believe I'd gotten so big, so I lost 134 lbs on my own in 8 months and divorced my ex about half way through that 267 when I met my boyfriend 300...hitting over that again and being terrified There are just too many! Now I want to see those numbers again, all on the downhill slide! Michele
