Met With Doc Patterson Today
Hey all,
Well, one more step taken care of. I met with Dr. Patterson this morning, very nice and very professional, I'm confident that she's the right choice.
Will start the dreaded tuna diet next week, as we just spend the grocery budget on tuesday, oops, lol!
I just made the appointment from my cardiology exam, can anyone tell me what to expect? I've haerd horror stories and I'd like to put them aside or brace myself.
Lastly, I noticed on the diet that I need to have a glass of milk with protien powder for breakfast each morning. I know nothing of powder-based drinks but some horrible flash-backs to my Cambridge Diet days, can anyone make a suggestion on a brand? I have a GNC close by as well.
Well, looks like we're counting down about six weeks, hoping to get a confirmed date soon. Thanks for the daily boost, I don't always post, but I'm always encouraged by your thoughts and advice.
Blessings,
-Perry

Congrats!! My insurance benefits don't kick in for another 3 months almost, but I would love to hear about your adventure getting in to see her. I have already attended her seminar, back in July, but I had to find a new job that offered medical insurance. How long do you have to be on the tuna diet? Is it every meal?
Brandi
Hi Perry,
I would recommend going to vitalady.com and trying some of her protein samples. My preop diet I had a protein shake for breakfast and lunch and then for dinner I would have baked chicken with veggies. I lost 30 lbs before surgery and Dr. P was pleased with that. I drink Proscore 100 chocolate and I order it from Vitalady.
The EKG is a breeze....sleep study is a pain in the bottom and the psych eval is just jumping through hoops..
If you have any questions, feel free to email me at [email protected]
I had lap rny w/ Dr. P on March 1st!
Best of Luck,
Julie
Sounds great! I will check those out, thanks.
Yeah the sleep study and EKG were no biggies (I used to be an EKG tech, so I knew what to expect there.)
The Cardio exam just makes me a little nervous because my dad had a heart attck on the treadmill when they gave him his last one. He (of course) refuses to to it any longer.
I'm in WAY better health than the old man, but still, I was sitting right there watching when it happened, ya know?
Thanks again for the great advice!
Blessings!
