Yoo Hoo, Mary???
Oh Lynn!!!!
I've been soooooooo bad at correspondence this week!!! Please forgive me!!! I'm doing really well! I was discharged on Saturday afternoon. Dr.Flanagan said that I was an ideal patient, which was huge for me given that he royally chewed me out at my initial consultation for not filling out my paperwork thoroughly!! You really gotta love that guy, huh?! This liquid diet thing is KILLING me!! I'm not hungry...just bored being at home...and I have never realized how much I use food for entertainment!!
Dr. Flanagan gave me you number, but I didn't end up staying in Albany with the folks. We came right home...and I'm glad we did. It was sure good to be home after a long week.
Talk to you soon!
-Mary
I'm SOOOOOOOOO glad and relieved that you are doing well! When I didn't hear anything I was a little concerned, not worried, but a little concerned. So, I'm very happy to hear you are ok! I'm glad everything went well! It was a good experience for me too, if you can call it an experience! I understand about the liquid diet, it was hard for me at first, but I was thankful I could finally have something. It'll go by and then you'll be on to pureed and it'll get better. Just take it one day at a time.
I'm Glad Dr. Flanagan gave you my number. I was maybe afraid he'd forgotten!! I went in the day before your pre op and said...,"There's this patient of yours, named Mary P (but I don't know her last name) and I correspond with her...and um....I'd like to visit her or talk to her in the hospital...and um, can you give her my number?" He looked at me with kind of a puzzled look on his face...and said, "ok." I think with patient confidentiality they were kind of "nervous" about saying things about other patients. I can understand. Anyways, I'm glad he remembered
So, how are you feeling? How is the NCJJ tube? I know you're probably resting and taking it easy. That's good, you need it now. Just don't forget to get your water in! (That was SO hard for me!!)
Take care!! Hope to talk to you soon!
