INSURANCE NO LONGER COVERS AFTER 1/2004!

SURPRISE, SURPRISE. AFTER MONTHS OF TESTS, AND DOCTORS,, PAPERS AND PLANNING; MY INSURER DENIED ME. WHY? AS OF JAN.2004, THEY NO LONGER COVER THE SURGERY! AS LATE AAS NOVEMBER, THEY SENT A NOTE SAYING THAT I MAY BE ELIGIBLE UNDER MY PLAN IF I MEET THE CRITERIA. (I DO) WHAT NEXT? ANY ADVICE ON FIGHTING THIS? HOW DO I GO ABOUT IT, AND WHAT ARE MY CHANCES? THIS SUCKS.

Joan, I can't imagine your disappointment. I don't know all the cir****tances but I would recommend running your case by an attorney. I was denied by my insurance company (ODS) because of lack of comorbidities (their words), and knew it was not something I could fight myself. I hired Walter Lindstrom whom many people post about. He specializes in WLS cases. My denials were overturned this week due to his intervention and Dr. Patterson's. Let me know if you need more info. Use your anger to stay focused and keep fighting!
