We're home!

My husband Mike had his Lap RNY on Tuesay morning in Pasadena, California. His surgery went well but he did have a problem with a low grade temp so he stayed in the hospital an extra day for IV antibiotics. He got out of the hospital Thursday afternoon and Friday we hit the mall for some shopping and then a movie. We flew home this morning. Mike is craving all sorts of things but says he really isn't hungry, just thinking about food alot. He wants cheese and a chocolate shake but is taking in water, broth, and a little protein. He has lost 11 pounds since surgery. YEAH MIKE! He says he is going back to work on Monday but he seems tired a lot so he may change his mind tomorrow evening. My turn next - January 15th. Kathy

Wow he is doing great! I am glad it went well.. Tell him Congratulations from just another LOOSER ! Tell him head hunger is normal.. the first few weeks it is rough you think you are hungry but you are not. My profile is on the blink but I am making a new one and in it will be an updated photo.. to date I am down 85 pounds. But sounds like Mike is going to pass me in no time

Congrats Mike! I'm so happy to hear that you are doing well. Shopping the day after getting out of the hospital...i'm impressed!!!!! Kathy, I'm sure it's neat to see him go through it so that you'll know better what to expect for yourself. Your date is coming soon! Congrats to both of you.
