I'm APPROVED! and I have a new date!!

Hey everyone, I just found out this afternoon that insurance has approved me for surgery. Just one hour after hearing from the insurance, the surgeon's office called and offered me an earlier surgery date...December 16 (previous date was on the 18th)...which is only 4 days away!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited, nervous, excited, nervous, etc. that I don't know what to think. My family is totally supportive. My sister had the surgery down in Fresno two years ago and has been the "poster child" for gastric bypass surgery. She has been extremely successful and I'm very proud of her. I know that for it to go THAT well for me would be nice, but I'm trying to stay grounded and realistic for ME. Anyway, just wanted to update everyone. ~Lynn

I understand how you feel. I was just approved from my insurance company, seening my doc for pre-op on tuesday and surgery on the 29th ( i put it off for a week, didn't want to be in the hospital during christmas, i have small kids). I am excited, nervous, scared, excited, worried, hopeful, anxious, thrilled and oh did i say excited ;>) It seems like it has been such a long journey, and now the big stuff is all happening so fast. i can't wait. best wishes this holiday season and with your upcomming transformation. -keri
