Kathy - Shelley
Hey girls.. Sorry about last weekend.. Shelley changed her plans and was not here as long as expected and I was unable to get far from home last weekend either.. I will have to tell you about that another time. So back to the drawing board. I was looking forward to meeting your daughter and visiting with you Kathy .. lets try again... Shelly - Yes I have started my hair loss... my hair is much thinner now than when I started.. It seems like it is coming out in bunches.... it gets all over everything. I wore Kris' coat the other day and he was complaining about my hair being all over it. It seems earlier than I expected. I am 3 months out. Most people I have talked to said more like 5 or 6 months out is when they lost their hair. But we are all different.. I hope it stops soon! Kathy - When do you guys leave for Mikes surgery? I was hoping to give you some of my drink samples before you go.. if we do not get together before we will do it as soon as you guys get back... the first few weeks it is not as critical.
No problem here with not getting together last weekend. My daughter and Mike both had "the crud" and spent most of Thankgiving sleeping. We were supposed to work at the Whittaker COmmunity Dinner but my two sickies would not have been welcomed.
We're home most of this weekend trying to get some last minute things done around the house before we leave for LA. We leave early Monday and Mike is scheduled for final labs at 4:30 Monday. His surgery is 7:30 AM Tuesday, December 9th. My sister and I already have plans for some heavy duty shopping while he recovers in the hospital. I feel somewhat guilty leaving him alone but not too guilty to pass up some primo shopping in LA. He's getting nervous about the actual surgery but is already picturing himself as the svelte, athletic, man of his younger years. He keeps warning me to "be ready".
CJ, if you can make it up here this weekend that would be great. Just call. We should be around.
Take care.

This is getting exciting. Thanks for the well wishes. I'm holding fast to my vision of an easy surgery and an uneventful recovery. I picked up his old formal Army picture yesterday and noticed just how young, athletic, and beautful he looked in his dress uniform. I hope I see some of that "hunk" in a few months Now, I know he can't go back to the 18-20 years but he's so cute I'm sure he's going to be great! (Do I sound like a happy wife)
Take care all
Kathy
