Happy Tuesday People!
Happy Veterans Day.. to any of you who have served or have family who has served our Great Country - Thank you! To the rest of you happy Tuesday.. My day was terrific.. I already posted this in our patient forum but I want the rest of you to know what happened to me today... I went to lunch with Kris and the restraunt was packed.. there were no tables and just one booth available.. I wanted to leave (of course) I told him You know I cannot sit in a booth... He said just try mom.. I knew I couldn't and I didn't want to be embarrassed and not fit and then leave.. it was horrible... But he convinced me to try.. GUESS WHAT.. I FIT.. and not only did I slide right in there I was not touching the table and it was comfortable.. I was so excited I called my mom on my cell just to tell her LOL.. got some weird looks but I could really care less I was in a BOOTH.. OMG OMG OMG Now lunch was a whole different story.. it was horrible I'd just really rather not eat most of the time.. but I was so happy sitting in MY booth HOOOORAY! Oh and the BESTEST part of all.. Kris leaned over the table and said I am proud of you mom Awwwwwwww
I'm so excited for you. It is always those small things in life that make me smile. When those kinds of things happen it is just so cool. It's like an inside secret only a few people know about but truly understand. My husband and I travel a lot and I know I am looking forward to my day when the lap belt fits and I can sit in the seat and move my butt. Thanks for sharing CJ. Take care.
CJ, that is the best thing I've heard in a long time. Fat people have so many secrets that are only shared by other fat people. Fitting in booths is definitely a biggie. And you showed such courage in trying (and Kris sounds like a saint, and a great child). I can imagine the glee you must have felt. Thanks for sharing it with us, those who understand. I'm proud of you too. ~Lesa~
Hi CJ!
Wow, what a good feeling, and another successful step of weight loss. I always hated the way that the table rubbed my tummy at the booths at Dennys. My friend would suck her tummy in and pretend like hers wasnt rubbing, when I would complain about it..
Kris sounds like an awesome kid who loves his Mommy. (hug)
I have a brother over in Iraq, he is a Staff SGT, a Scout for the Calvary, plans on coming home in April. He is 28. I cant wait to see him, I always get a shiver down my back when I hear that there are more soldiers killed in Baghdad, as he is there. Thank you for your good thoughts concerning the troops and Veterans.
I hope you have a fabulous week~!
