40 POUNDS LOST IN 26 DAYS!!! YAHOOOO!!!
I just weighed myself and I lost 40 pounds since surgery on October 14th!!!! I realize that this is the fastest of my weightloss window time, and I am so dang excited about it~~!!! I have looked at pictures of me at this weight 2 years ago, and longed to be this weight again and now here I am... and I am going to keep going down, down, down...
I had a miserable headache all day yesterday and woke up today with a sweet suprise, all of those pounds gone and no more headache. I found out yesterday that my new tummy loves the meatballs at Subway. I cant eat chicken but my tummy likes meatballs, go figure. I ordered meatballs, sauce and cheese on the bottom and cucumbers, olives, tomatoes and sweet onion sauce on top.... I ate at that all day yesterday and will more today... My teens had footlong subs and that didnt bother me a bit, I really dont get hungry yet. My favorite thing right now is a nice warm cup of decaf Lipton tea with Splenda in it. I cant digest the artificial sweetners anymore, they give me a headache and make me sick. I have switched to Splenda, a natural substance with good results. I can eat a bite of carb smart ice cream or have Dannon yogurt smoothies (peaches and passion fruit is so yummy).....
If ANYONE knows of any Splenda foods/drinks please pass them on to me (name of item and company that makes them), so I can have my grocer order them. I can't have anything with aspertame or nutrasweet in it. Working with this new tummy is work... I am finding out, but when tummy is happy life is good....
I am still dealing with the pain of the adhesions cutting(scar tissue) part of my surgery and slowly mending from that, but I am thankful that my surgeon did such a good job of fixing that mess....
I would love to meet you Portland Area girls.... how about a get-together in the springtime when the weather is nice?
BIG HUGS~~~~~
Love,
Melissa C
Melissa: That's awesome weight loss!!! I can't wait for my surgery, and my honeymoon period...and I think it's so cute that your tummy likes meatballs. And I'm sure I speak for all the Portland girls that we'd love to have you come up for a get together in the spring. I'd be happy to offer up my house...I may even have my patio finished by then so we can barbecue 6 meatballs and have a feast! And splenda is coming out in everything these days...it should be easier and easier to find more products. Good luck, and keep up the good work!! -Lesa
Hi Lesa!
Wow, staying at your house and having a girls night sounds like SO MUCH FUN... and we are going to be so pretty and fit, hehheee.
BBQ 6 meatballs, now that is funny, and right now it is true, I can only manage one. You probably have better shopping over there, as I am not finding a whole lot that is sweetened with Splenda in Klamath Falls.
I cant wait to greet you on the losing side of life sister sunshine, the changes are so dramatic and awesome....
Big Hug,
Melissa C
Aw, thank you CJ (or shall I say Barbie girl )
Lesa is volunteering her home (so sweet) for a get- together in the spring...it is going to be so fun... I'll drive from my area and meet you at your place for a ROAD TRIP>>>>> what fun~~!!!!
Everyone needs to bring pictures of what they used to look like, because by spring we sont recognize the old us, well shed off those cocoons and be spring butterflies.
Hugs,
Melissa
Wow good job Melissa!
I like splenda also, sometimes it is called sucralose. Propel fitness water made by gatorade is sweetened with sucralose, as is the bottled Crystal lite drinks (not the powdered- just the bottled). If you like chocolate, wal-mart has a new sucralose sweetened candy bar called At Last, you can find it in the diabetic section.
Good Luck!
