I am home from surgery... I am so glad to be home. Surgery was Tuesday... Most of my pain is from adhesions that had to be cut through to do my LAP RUHN Y. I was dealing with a fever but as of 6am my temp is looking normal. Hugz to all....

Congrats! I am so happy for you. WHen you are feeling better I would love to chat with you about your surgery. I have many adhesions and wondered about the adhesion pain. I have surgery on 11/20. Anyway, take good care of yourself. Lucky you, you are the losing side now! KAthy

Hi Kathy, It would be great to chat.... to me the adhesion pain is the worst part of the surgery, but it is expected. But then again I didnt have leaks or a ton of other complications that can occur. My Doc said he had to cut so much that he expected a lot of fluid in my drain tubes and I have had a lot. I didnt expect this to be easy and I was expecting pain, but the pain meds are good. The hard part is moving around, getting up, getting down, moving in bed and etc. I ask for help because I dont want to disturb anything, and I really need it. Once I can get up I can get around for a bit. I am so fortunate to have had honest post ops advise me the truth, that surgery isnt easy, but it is worth it. We wear support hose during the day, and I would never be able to get those on by myself. Adhesions were cut all over my abdomen, from cesaearian adhesions (my uterus was attached up high on my intestines, (go figure) and gall bladder surgery. I am thinking I got a 2 for 1 surgery. You can email me: [email protected], anytime. All in all Kathy, I have zero regrets. I need my health and this surgery is the tool I need. I am here if you need me. Hugz, Liz

HI CJ, I am hanging in there. I am fortunate to have family helping me and my teenagers. I am so glad that I had the surgery. I am dealing with a low grade fever and am on antibiotics. Due to the adhesions mobility isnt much. THank you for asking, how are things going for you?

8 weeks out sounds so lovely. Glad to hear you are doing very well. How much time did you take off from work? My fever breaks and then is back.... I will be glad to be over it... I think my tummy surgery was very successful but I am so fatigued... Sounds like your son loves you, as he should.... It is amazing how we can all pull together when we need to

If I had to go back I could have gone easily at 2 weeks for a desk job... I didn't start lifting etc. till 6 weeks.. but at 3 weeks I was doing everything else I had done before.. I had all my energy back and was feeling pretty good. When do you have to return to work?

I see my surgeon tomorrow to discuss it and to see how I am doing. I am extremely fatigued, and finding it hard to move around. I think all of the adhesion cutting has made me sore across my lower abdomen. I am still on the pain medication. I had gall bladder surgery in June, was off from work for 1 week and back to teaching water aerobics in 2 weeks, so I know my body is going to be needing a lot more time to heal this time. Maybe it also is having 2 surgeries so close together. I have had an infection/fever and I know that zaps a person too, so I will see what my test show and what the Doc says before I know how much time to take off. I am going to take care of me, so I am going to work hard at that. You sound like an active girl like me CJ, and btw, with that tan and golden hair I think you are going to be Barbie
