This Saturday at My House...
Let's do this! My home address is 4151 SE Glenwood Street. It is 5 blocks south of Woodstock, off 39th. My cell number is 503-318-7739. CJ, I think you should bring all your puppies!!! But that's just the kind of gal I am. I have two dogs, they're very sweet, and a large fenced yard. Plus a basement that's finished. But no rugs, no carpeting, no upholstery (leather). It's really a dog house, so feel free to bring the Tibetan to show Denise, and the pups you're delivering. As for meeting the folks from Seattle, I'd suggest something near the Rose Quarter (is that Doubletree still there?), since it's just off I-5 and easy to get to. I can't think of any hotels but downtown (because I only have half a brain these days). That said, I think we should all meet at my house either at 10 am (so we can see the puppies before CJ gives them up) or, if CJ prefers not to come up that early, at noon. CJ, you choose the time, and everyone is welcome (my dogs are non-shedders, but if you have severe allergies, I'd suggest an antihistamine). RSVPs would be nice. ~Lesa~
I don't know if I can get there by 10am. Our football game is out of town Friday night and I will be out pretty late.. The people are taking the little black male ****apoo.. they get to choose between the Golden Female and the black male (go see them too Denise http://tinyurl.com/8b34)But they are leaning heavily to the black male.. If I schedule any more puppies I will schedule them for later so you can be sure to love on them all Lesa.. in fact I can bring the Schnoodles if you want... So for me noon-ish will work better.
Lesa - Can you email me directions from I-5 [email protected] I do not know my way around at all once I leave the freeway
I want to come!! I have talked to Shelley and she will give me a lift--thanks CJ for the nice offer to pick me up! I figured you have enough on your plate you don't need to pick me up too! If I can get away I am going to meet Shelley in Oregon City and catch a ride! Looking forward to seeing you all!
DIRECTIONS FROM I-5: There may be a faster way, but this is the easiest. Take the exit for the Ross Island Bridge (follow the signs around until you actually take the bridge to the east side of Portland). This puts you on Powell Boulevard. Go to 39th Avenue, make a right (south). Go maybe a half mile and you'll see a Trader Joe on your right-hand side. From that point, you'll go through the traffic light at Steele, another traffic light at Woodstock, and then you'll see a flashing yellow light at my street, Glenwood. Make a left, go 1-1/2 blocks to 4151 (on the left).
FROM OREGON CITY: Either follow above directions, which take you a bit out of the way, or go north on 99E to Milwaukie (Westmoreland/Sellwood area). Make a right on Bybee (which is smack dab in the center of the town of Sellwood) and go past Reed College. Road swings around to the left and then you hit a stop sign at what appears to be a fork in all directions. You want to make a right there...that's Woodstock. Go to the light at 39th Avenue, make a right, look for the flashing yellow traffic light up ahead where you make a left onto my street.
GOOD LUCK! See everyone around noonish. If anyone wants to bring something, make it protein for the losers in the group! I'll have stuff, so you don't need to bring anything else.
