Hello All, We just got home from visiting with Shelley and Monica. They are both doing great! I was so suprised that Shelley looked so good, she had, had a rough night and yet she was talking and had really good color (without make-up) My daughter and Shelleys got to meet and we took her with us when we left, they gabbed the entire trip. Monica was asleep when I saw her and so I chated with the nurse and she said she was doing fine. Sleep well all.~Denise~

my days in the hospital are pretty much a blurr... the first day (or that evening) I don't even remember my son (he stayed at the hospital while I was in surgery/recovery and then seen me to my room).. my mom or friend actually SPEAKING to me on the phone or anything else.. day two was only slightly better but by day 3 I was good. of course I had to stay for 5 LONG days. my stoma (?I think thats what it was) was swollen when they did the leak test so it was just precautionary... I've had many surgery's and the first days are always the same for me. I just have a real hard time coming out of the antesisa. when monica is "awake" tell her I am thinking of her and I say. Sorry I am unable to come see her. life has taken another turn. (not health... but "LIFE") glad to hear that shelly is doing great too........ next months meeting will be intresting.. hmmmm, I bet the food that is brought will be much less, and a whole lot differarnt... LOL ya know that's what we should have taken pic's of, is that food table. and then next month another and so on... LOL Theresa

Hi Denise! We went and saw the squad members last night too---we never did get to see Monica. She was still in recovery but we sat and talked with Doug for an hour or so---hoping they would bring Monica to her room---they kept telling us she was next in line ot come up and then they would bring someone else up... We went and saw Shelley next and only stayed 15 min. or so. Her kids came in so we gave them their time with her. She had just been up and the nurses where helping her back into bed and putting leg things on her that massage the legs or something---anyone know more about them?? I'm sure they are to prevent blood clots but wonder if everyone uses them?? Anyway--I thought her coloring was great too---the first thing I said to her was that actually. She showed me her incisions too---no redness around them and they look so little--Ron thinks I need to look into lap now.....They both send their love to us.....how sweet is that??
