Group vs individual

As many of you know I am awaiting approval for individual insurance coverage with Kaiser. I live in Milwaukie, Oregon, so will most likely be at Kaiser Sunnyside for surgery. I double checked the exlusion or lack thereof. I was curious if those of you who have had the surgery or been approved had group or individual policies and if this was your exlusion.... "Educational or Clinical Programs for weight control or food suppliments" This is the closest thing I could find under exlusions. I think that is in my favor......I just want to see if everybody else had the same exclusion. Thankx! Brandi

HI I also have Kaiser and I have had group and individual. I know when I had individual the exclusion was for anything having to do with wls. "Services related to the treatment of obesity, such as gastric bypass or bariatric surgery" I pulled out my papers to see what it said. My new Kaiser dosent have that exclusion. I think they have many different plans. Call the member services and ask they will help(503-813-2000). Good Luck Denise
