Please join us for a chat on Wed. July 23rd at 7:00 PM to discuss how to get Oregon legislation passed to mandate insurance coverage for WLS. People are being denied weight loss surgery in Oregon because some insurance carriers refuse to cover the cost of bariatric surgery. Tammy, Unfortunately I didn't get your post in time for the chat, and I cannot access Yahoo Groups from work (where I'm online). I too am very interested in the progress for this legislation. I think it is appalling that any obese person like myself BMI 56.1 is being the denied the right to life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness. I am also double covered through my husbands and my job. Both companies have the dreaded exclusion.

Sorry I missed it .I dont understand this? Wouldent they save $ if you get healthier after surgery.Less doctor visits medicines etc.I am just starting this process I hope they dont say no to me I have Cigna PPO and Im scaired
