Anyone Have Lap Band?

I have been approved for a lap band and denied bypass surgery. My surgeon's office has been trying to get this approved since September.
I posted on the main forum and EVERYONE tells me not to do it,.
Has anyone had Dr. Tersigini do lap band surgery on them? He also says he is going to do an imbication.
I would really like to hear from anyone in Oregon about their experience and if they have had revisions.

I had my surgery with Dr Emma Patterson at Legacy Good Samaritan in Portland. Insurance approval was smooth sailing. Her staff is great. My insurance was United Health Care.

Lap Band on 11/09/07

I had lapband surgery (Dr Tersigni) in 2007 and LOVE the way it works! I have not had any major complications that I couldn't solve myself, even had a baby last year! I live in Portland, so the drive is pretty long, but I only go once a year and when I go, I stay at the discount rate Red Lion down there and go to the casino for a little treat.
