AND FEELING AWESOME. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone I've chatted with on here prior to my surgery, your insight and helpful hints have been a blessing.

I had lap RNY in October 2010 and I was amazed at how "easy" it was. Had surgery on Friday and was back to work on Wednesday.
I've had no serious complications and reached my goal weight in less than 6 months. My biggest problem now is making sure I don't drop more weight. My focus now is on getting toned.
I'd really encourage you to stick to a good post-op diet. My docs recommend 70% protein in-take per "meal" and 30% vegetables. I've didn't have potatos, rice, or breads for 6 months. I now only eat them about once a month. Don't miss them at all.
Best of luck and let us know your progress.
