New to the Oregon Area....
Good Morning, Everyone~
As a lot of you know, I'm Shannon. I have recommitted myself to using this site regularly as I am putting more effort into my food addictions and food related issues. I have posted pictures of myself and my story for those of you that would like to know me but don't.
I have just recently moved to Vancouver, Wa and am looking for support groups here. I have found an Over Eaters Anonymous group in Portland which was interesting... but, I'd also like to find support of the non-12 Step type.
Anyway, would love to hear from anyone and everyone in my area (and beyond!)
I hope you are all well and lovely, as usual!
Thanks!!!!

Hi Shannon, Welcome to the area! I'm not sure about Vancouver, but I know the OHSU has their support group on the second Wed of everymonth (they canceled the other ones). I can't remember the time off the top of my head it's like 10 to 11:30a.m. or there abouts. You can check on their bariatric website It'll give you more information about them. Hope you find something that works for you!

Hi, I'm Kathey. I was told there is a support group in Vancouver at the Southwest Washington Medical Center Education Wing off of 92nd Ave.
It is the third Wednesday of the month. I haven't been to it or checked it out so I hope the information is accurate. I am desperate to find a group to go to. I still have a lot of weight to loose and it seems that it just doesn't want to come off....

I just moved from Vancouver over to the Oregon Coast in December. There is a support group at Southwest Wa Med. Center as Kathey mentioned. If you call the hospital they should be able to get you all the info. I never went to it because I worked right up till the time the meetings started and couldn't ever get there in time. Now I wish I had rearranged my work schedule to fit it in since there don't seem to be any support groups in my new area. Let me know if you need any other info on Vancouver, maybe I can help. We were there for about 6 years.
