Looking for friends in the Hillsboro/Portland area?

Hey there I am just looking to see if there is anyone out there in the hillsboro/portland area that is on the GB journey.  

I was just approved for the Kaiser GB program and am excited about that.  I don't know anyone in this area that is going through or has gone through GB through Kaiser or not.


Hope to hear from some people out there.  Would love to hear your stories and experiences!!!!!

You might try attending a support group.  There is a lot of information to be had at one.  I think there is one in the Hillsboro area but there is also 3 a month at OHSU.  Anyone can attend.  There is a Q&A next Wednesday at 10 AM if you are interested.  Does Kaiser have a support group?  Congrats on getting approved. 

Thank you!  I think Kaiser has all kinds of classes and groups but I have yet to look into it all.   I will def. check out OHSU groups!  It would just be nice to be around others doin the same thing....thus the support group lol ;p

If you send me your email via OH email, I can send you a PFD of their schedule for the rest of the year.  They have speakers twice a month (afternoon and evening group) and then a Q&A the 4th Wednesday.  Pretty good group with some regulars (1 and 2 years out) plus there are often new people.  Find a group that you enjoy.  I feel that they are a very important part of my weightloss.

Hi, I am waiting to have my lapband surgery.. scheduled in two weeks.  I am excited about it and would love to converse about it.

I am interested in knowing how much discomfort to expect after surgery.. and how nauseous were you the week after?

I am on the eastside of Portland.. not too close..
