She posted last winter that she had her panni covered by insurance, and I believe she and I have the same coverage. I would like to be able to ask her, but I don't have contact info for her, and she hasn't posted in several months. If you have her contact info, and could pass along my request to her, I would be grateful! I sent her a message via the message utility on here, but unless she logs on, she won't see that she has a message.

Hey there,

Your right I haven't posted in awhile...is there anything you need help with still?  I'm sorry it's been almost 6 months.

No need to apologize!

When I asked that question I had Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and now I have Providence. I am an Oregon University System employee; I think you once mentioned that you were in Corrections? Anyway, I think you said you had your panni covered by insurance. Was it BC/BS? My question might be irrelevant now that I'm on Providence. But if you have any tips about getting in covered, feel free to share. Thanks for your time.

Well I had Providence at surgery time and they preapproved within a day or two. Yes im in corrections and the doc took pics to send in. He also said it was interferring with wearing duty belt and how far it hung down was causing skin rash, skin breakdown and yeast.

Ahh, you had panni-related problems. I have none of those so I'm probably out of luck. You'd think after weighing as much as 400 pounds, I'd have a lot of hanging skin, but no. I think it's the vertical C-section scar; it holds everything up!

Thanks for taking time to reply.

I wouldn't give up hope.  You can get a free consultation from a plastic surgeon and they have to fill out the paperwork for the pre-approval.  So if they want the business they will do whats needed for the insurance to approve it.  The only thing you would be out is a little time for the consultation.  Good Luck!!
