Salem on track for Center of Excellence

My insurance requires a center of excellence, so I have been waiting, not very patiently for Salem to get it done. They will have their inspection in May and expect to be Certified in June.

I don't know about anyone else, but I can hardly stand the wait. My sister had her surgery in early March and I am so jealous I can hardly stand it.

I had my RNY on 12/29/09 at the Salem Hospital with Dr. Boulay. Incredible results,,I'm off of all diabetic meds/insulin now. The Salem Bariatric program is very helpful. You'll be glad you joined with them.

I thought they became certified in January, sorry

That's why I ended up going up to OSHU. (I started my process in January 2009)

They were hoping 'any day now'. I can hardly stand the wait. If for some freaky reason they don't pass in May, I may end up at OHSU as well, I just hate the idea of the commute.

Update: Just called to check and was told that the May eval "went well" but they are still waiting for the result.
