Anyone here from Southern Oregon

if so did you go to the Bariatric Center in Medford?

Sorry.  Northern Oregon here.

I am.  I went to Bend to the Advanced Specialty Care.  I checked out the center in Medford as it had recently become a Center of Excellence which was required by insurance.  I chose Bend because the contact person - Kathyrn - was the best.  She made everything easy for me and walked me through all processes.  She responds right away.  I have had no complications and have felt good almost immediately after surgery. 

I had RNY on 9/22/09.

I went to a seminar in medford but I picked Bay Bariatrics in Coos Bay.  Robin has been excellent to work with and now I am just waiting for BCBS fed. to approve my surgery.  I live in Klamath Falls but my inlaws live in Coos bay and can take care of me while I heal.....

I LIVE IN MEDFORD AND WENT TO ONE OF THEIR SYMPOSIUMS BUT UNFORTUNATELY THEY DON'T OFFER VSG SO I AM CHOOSING TO PAY OUT OF POCKET AND GO TO MEXICALI. GOOD LUCK!

Bay Bariatrics in Coos Bay, Oregon is a "Center of Excellence" and does offer the VSG for $12,000. Dr. Tersigni is awesome and has performed weight loss surgery on nine of my family members.

Dr. Tersigni at Bay Area Bariatrics did my Lap-Band in March. I have been very happy with the care, including a couple post-op telephone calls Robin answered and gave me reassurance and advice. The P.A. there (I forget his name) has been great to work with as well. Good luck no matter what you decide.
