Mcminnville

Wondering if there are any RNY support groups in the McMinnville area.  There sure seems to be plenty of people from the area.  I would love to attend something local.  I am pre-surgical (Dr O'Rourke - Dec 8, OHSU).  Would love to hear from anyone, my mother swears by her support group so I would like to begin the habit before surgery. 

Hi! There was one awhile back that I read about on here. Except I showed up to it and couldn't find anyone there and when I asked at the front, they didn't know anything about it. So I just go to the one at OHSU. Have you checked out that one? The ladies there are pretty nice and have wonderful advice. The first meeting each month is a  specific topic i.e. the next one is "food adiction" the second meeting of the month is a general meeting. those are both during the day so I don't know if you would be able to attend. There is one meeting a month in the evening that is a "specific topic" meeting. I wish there were more people in the local area wanting to get together for a support group!

katari, i think we should start one ourselves, i think between a few of us we can get together and make it happen. i am up for it , if anyone else is....lets start brainstorming. maybe we can meet at a coffee shop or something. what do you all think

I am aware of a lap-band support group in McMinnville but not one for RNYs.

I agree with Sandra's suggestion to start one.

Is there any information on the Lap Band support group in McMinnville?  I am having my surgery on 11/24 and would LOVE to join one around here.
