OHSU Bariatric Support Group - September Meetings

9/9/09, Wed., 10-11:30.  Room 3178.   The Tricky aspects of Changes in our lives-how to thrive.  Dr. Ruth Leibowitz, Ph.D., from the Portland Counselling Center will present and lead a discussion.   9/15/09, Tuesday, 6:30-8 pm.  Room 3181.  Discussion on the same topic above led by Shannon Rentz, dietitian.
9/23/09, Wed., 10-11:30, open discussion with the nutritionist, room 3180.   Next month, we look forward to having Bob Wilson, BS, DTR, from Lighter and Free from the Inside Out (author and life coach),  discuss Food Addiction:  Common among people after weight loss surgery.  Dates will be 10/14 from 10-11:30 and 10/20 from 6:30-8 pm.  Bob Wilson has worked in multiple health fields icluding  nutrition, weight management, and healthy eating for decades.

Definitely!

I used to go to the OHSU support groups during the day.  Patients from the OWLS and SW Washington MC also attended and were always welcomed.

It's free. you can park in their underground parking structure, they will validate your ticket so you don't have to pay for the parking either. You can call the Weight loss surgery clinic number for more information. 503-494-4373.
