Hey there.  I had surgery seven years ago in Sept. in Anchorage Alaska with Dr. Todd at Alaska Bariatric Center.  I'm doing quite well.  I'm looking for a Primary Care Manager here in Coos Bay/North Bend area and really don't need to see a surgeon but I would like to find a PCM who has experience with Gastric Bypass pateints.  I have Tricare (yep, husband is in the Coast Guard).

Can someone point me in the right direction.

Thank you!

That is where Tricare referred me.  I'm having a heck of a time pinning down an actual doctor.  No one wants to see Tricare people.  I think I'm going back to the drawing board (ie. going to see our local Tricare rep who thankfully is right down the street from where I live).

I just want my labs drawn really.  I have an online support group who can help me interpret them and direct me to what supplements to add.

I agrfee wAuntie M.  I don't live in Coos Bay but I do work with the doctors at North Bend Medical Center.  There is a bariatric unit at the hospital there now - so I imagine the PCP's are all becoming quite familiar with bariatric patients.  If you stick with the clinic right there sharing the property with the hospital, I'm sure you'll get internists/family practice who will be familiar with whatever WLS issues/questions as they arise.
